Lecture series of the Gesundheitstechnische Gesellschaft (GG) with Prof. Kriegel and Anne Hartmann
In the upcoming online event of the Gesundheitstechnische Gesellschaft (GG) on January 21, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Kriegel talks about supply air volume flow and ventilation effectiveness to avoid infections. Furthermore Anne Hartmann will talk about the leakage of masks found in measurements at HRI.
The participation is free of charge. A registration is required: https://www.ggberlin.de/veranstaltungen.htm
Lecture series of the Gesundheitstechnische Gesellschaft (GG) with Dr.-Ing. Valeria Hofer
In the upcoming online event of the Gesundheitstechnische Gesellschaft (GG) on december 10, Dr.-Ing. Valeria Hofer talks about the interaction between heat sources and the low-turbulence unidirectional flow in cleanrooms. A new design aid called "contaminated volume" for the selection of the supply air velocity is presented and the energy saving potential is considered.
The participation is free of charge. A registration is required: https://www.ggberlin.de/veranstaltungen.htm.
The language of presentation is german.
Number of particles loaded with SARS-CoV-2 in the room air
A new article is available about the number of particles loaded with SARS-CoV-2 in the room air and its inhaled quantity, and the evaluation of the risk of infection to infect yourself with Covid-19 through them. You will find it here:

Airborne infection prevention: comparison between mixing and displacement ventilation
Usually, displacement ventilation is characterized by a higher ventilation effectiveness than mixing ventilation. Is it therefore a better prevention of airborne infection? More information on our blog:

HCBC-blog: multilevel district heating network
As part of the EnEff: HCBC Project, a multilevel DHC system prototype is being designed for the TU Berlin's eastern campus. The goal of the new system is to use waste heat and renewable energy sources to save CO2-emissions.
